Take one happy wagging tail, two adoring amber eyes and playing as needed for a complete and joyful life—doctor's orders! And who better to fill that prescription than happy 1.5 year old Doc! This sweet youngster with a chocolate coat and pearly white teeth is a perfect size boy weighing 75 pounds.

Doc began his life by being auctioned off as a purebred puppy at a Ducks Unlimited banquet and then went on to live life as a farm dog. He found chasing cattle a delightful pastime, something neither his owner nor the cattle found nearly as fun as he did. So handsome Doc found his way into rescue with us.

We’re just getting acquainted with Doc. Our volunteer who met him told us, “He’s a total sweetheart who rides quietly in the car. My Lab mix, Gracie, who was with me, was quite smitten with him and they got along very well!” Doc is an energetic, athletic youngster who would be perfect for someone with an active lifestyle. It appears Doc has spent a good part of his life outside. He’s looking forward to you showing him all the niceties and comforts of indoor life

"So how are you feeling?" asks Doc. "Do you need a little 'Labra-therapy' to boost your spirits or to keep you fit and happy? I just know I'm the one special pup you need in your life. And, oh, how much I'd love to have you in mine forever and ever!"
