“‘Delightful’ is the first word that comes to mind to describe Storm,” related this 10 month old’s foster dad. “He’s really a neat, happy little guy — just a great and amazing young dog!” Rave reviews follow 59 pound Storm wherever he goes. He has a sunny disposition and absolutely adores people and other dogs. Storm is housetrained and crate trained, will sit for a treat and come when called. He’s quite good on the leash for such a young fellow and likes to retrieve, but wonders why in the world you want the ball back!
While Storm is pretty excited to meet new folks, he calms readily. He can be a little goofy which makes him all the more endearing. If you’re busy working, Storm is quite content to amuse himself chewing on his Nylabone. You may lose your seat on the couch if you get up to answer the phone, but he’ll be happy to cuddle up with you in a heartbeat when you return. He’s one who likes to lay his head in your lap for some petting too.
Storm is a young Lab who’s definitely had a guardian angel watching over him. When barely 6 months old he was hit by a car, injured his hip and was taken to a vet to be put down by his owners. The vet fell in love with this gentle, good-natured soul, repaired the hip with a procedure called an FHO and contacted us to find him the best forever home possible. Storm has recovered beautifully. This incredibly athletic boy is regaining strength and muscle tone in the leg just like his foster sister who had a similar experience years ago. He will probably always have a slight limp, but a full and active life awaits him. Storm does not like to feel closed in or crowded by people so a home with adults will be best.
A sunny “Storm” of happiness and tail wagging fun is waiting for you when you meet this resilient young fellow who’s truly delighted to have a second chance as a well loved family member.
