Last Year's Calendar was a Huge Success — Let's Do It Again!
Grand Prize Winner will have their photo on the cover!

Let's do it again! Our 4th Annual Calendar Photo Contest begins now. Winners will be Mr/Ms January through December 2011, and will receive free calendars. Selected from the winners will be our Grand Prize winner who will decorate our cover page. There will also be twelve (12) honorable mentions awarded free calendars.

And we will be featuring "little pictures" on every page as well.

All entries will be sent to our LabGab editor at the close of the contest and you may well see your Lab featured on our LabGab banner or elsewhere in the newsletter during the year.

We know you've been snapping pictures — who can resist those silly faces? Get 'em in!

Submission Guidelines:

• $5 per entry, no limit!
  
  
• 12 Monthly and 12 Honorable Mention winners all receive a free calendar.
  
  
• Labrador Retrievers only; doesn't have to be an SHLR or Rescue dog.
  
  
• Horizontal shots only.
  
  
• You can submit the same photos as previous years (previous monthly and honorable mention winning photos excluded).
  
  
• The photo must have been taken by you or someone in your family; you cannot submit professional shots taken by someone else.
  
  
• For DIGITAL IMAGES, set your camera at the HIGHEST resolution (photos will be enlarged to 8.5"x11"). Please send original digital files (.jpg or .tif files) either on CD or via email as attachments, and include your name, phone number, address, and dog's name. Please don't make the file smaller to email — send original largest file. Email digital photos to SHLRphotocontest@safeharborlabrescue.org. You will receive a confirmation of your entry within 48 hours; if you don't receive one, assume it didn't go through and resend.
  
  
• For SNAPSHOTS, please put a label on the back with your name, dog's name, address, and phone number (please don't write directly on the print!). 4x6 minimum size please. And please don't scan in snapshots yourself — mail in the prints. If you would like your photo returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Winners will be notified by August 1, 2010.
