Cody (formerly Cletus)

Cletus & familyCody went to his forever home today with Suzanne and Cal. Cody came to us from a family whose circumstances had changed. He needed a new family to teach him all about being a well loved family member and train him to be a good boy.

Cody will be a beloved companion to kids. Alyssa and Danielle, and new big canine brother, Malcolm. Cody is a stunning chocolate youngster, and he is so happy to be with his new family.

Pictured here are Cody, Malcolm, Cal, Alyssa and Danielle at home.

Riley

Riley & familyRiley went to his forever home today with big sister, Anna, and mom and dad, Amanda and Scott. Sweet young Riley came to us from a shelter where he was surrendered. He had been passed around quite a bit and was understandably anxious about his place in life! Riley is GORGEOUS with a thick slightly wavy coat, and he is so happy to be with his new family.

We are so excited for Riley. Amanda and Scott have already been in contact with Laura Brody at Wag & Train to begin his training, and he could not have a better start to his new life. He is charming, sweet, adorable and SMART! He learned the dog door following Anna in immediately!

Riley is looking forward to learning about how safe and happy the world can be from Anna, Amanda and Scott.

Floyd (formerly Charley)

CharlieOur last puppy, Charlie, left home today to move to the mountains with his thrilled new parents, Prudence and Luke of Gunnison! Prudence and Luke have flexible schedules that will allow them to spend critical socialization time with this adorable little boy.

Lucky Charlie came to Safe Harbor along with his siblings, Sophie and Zeke, quite ill after being surrendered by a breeder to a good Samaritan. They were nursed back to health day and night by their foster mom (and SHLR medical coordinator) Joy and then Dr. Steen.

We want to especially thank Dr Jeff Steen of Alameda East Veterinary Hospital, and Joy for all the work they did getting Floyd ready for his forever home.

Pictured here is Floyd with his new parents, Prudence and Luke.

Zeke

ZekeLittle Zeke left his brother Charlie (sister Sophie was adopted a few days ago) and has moved in with Pam and Mike and their sons, Christopher and Matthew. Pam is able to be home for her boys a lot— including Zeke — and Mike owns his own business and Zeke can sometimes go to work with him. They have a big yard, are very active and have tons of love to give this soon to be big boy!!!!

Bradley (formerly Chet)

BradleyBradley (formerly Chet) went to his forever home with Vera, her son Patrick and new canine sister, Lilly. Sweet young Chet came to us from a shelter where his time was up…and we can't imagine why anyone would not have scooped this precious boy up. He is charming, sweet, adorable and SMART! He learned the dog door following Lilly in about a minute flat!

Little Bradley is looking forward to learning about the big wide world with his new family. He was a very happy boy at his adoption.

Reilly (formerly Ravina)

Ravina & familyReilly went to her forever home with Donna and Tom and canine big brother, Cory (Cormack) of Boulder.

Four month old Reilly’s life has definitely taken a turn for the better since she joined the Safe Harbor family! She was found stray at only three months old — we think in a ravine, alone and cold and scared…and now with some love and attention by the Safe Harbor intake, medical and foster teams, she is HOME!

Reilly will enjoy a happy life full of love and attention from her wonderful new family.

Regina

Regina, “Reggie” was adopted by Chris and Frank. Four year old Reggie’s life has definitely taken a turn for the better since she joined the Safe Harbor family!

Reggie came to us after she “retired” from breeding, and she was pretty scared and tentative. She got lots of love and affection from her two foster families who showed her that people can be kind and trusted.

Little Reggie is looking forward to learning about the big wide world with Chris and Frank and being a much loved member of their family. Someone is almost always home, and Reggie will get all of the love and attention she deserves.

Eve

Eve & familyBeautiful 10 month old Eve went to her forever home this weekend. She was adopted by SHLR alum Buddy's family! This dear girl found her way to Safe Harbor from a shelter where she was not very happy.

Andi and Lawrence saw Eve and knew she would be a wonderful addition to their family. She fit right in, and the rest is history!

Pictured here is Eve with mom Andi, dad Lawrence and new brother SHLR alum Buddy 2005. A big thank you to Andi and Lawrence for giving Buddy such a great home and now adding another rescued Lab — sweet Eve — to their family.

Jack

JackJack went home with his new family last weekend! This dear boy found his way to Safe Harbor from a shelter where he was pretty stressed out. We took him into our program and he acclimated very quickly.

Meanwhile, Alison, Maya and their dear girl, Zora, were looking for the right guy to round out their little family. Jack was IT! When he came bounding in, he and Zora hit it off immediately and a match was born!

Pictured here is Jack with mom Alison, Maya and new canine sister Zora. Jack is in the back, Zora is in the front.

Riley

Riley & familyRiley went home with his new mom Aimee, new brother Nate and Safe Harbor Alumnus Scout over the weekend! This incredibly sweet older boy was surrendered to a shelter and left to a sad fate. Luckily, the good folks at the shelter recognized that he could find a wonderful home, and he came in to SHLR. He had a wound on his leg that we got all fixed up.

Aimee and Nate saw Riley and knew he was THE ONE! They met over the weekend and it was love at first sight. Riley is so blessed to be going to such a wonderful home.

Pictured here is Riley, new mom Aimee, Nate and Scout and the carcass of his favorite toy at Scouts feet :-).
