Gracie

Gracie with Kim & familyGracie went to her forever home today with Kim and her family in Fort Morgan! This stunning little girl was found by a good Samaritan wandering the streets of Dallas last December. Because she had no chip and no tags, they were unable to find her owner. They were on their way home to Denver, so she came with them. After trying to find her a good home here, she eventually came to Safe Harbor.

Kim and her family had decided now was the right time to add a new addition to their family after the passing of their beloved lab recently, and Gracie was just the right girl for them.

Logan

Logan with Lauren & JeffSweet youngster chocolate Logan went to his forever home today with Jeff and Lauren in Denver. They live in Lodo - with its totally cool dog vibe and lifestyle! Logan, a very athletic and energetic one year old with striking eyes, shiny coat and endearing puppy-ish ways, was hard to resist, and it was an instant love match! Jeff lost his beloved companion 2 years ago, and was waiting for the right time to add another dog to his life…and Logan walked right into his dad's home today!

Logan's new dad works from home, so Logan will have lots of opportunity to hang out with his people - and he is basically all about his people! Jeff is runner — and we know that will go a LONG way to wearing out this energetic little boy and helping to make him a good, good boy in his forever home.

Reggie

ReggieReggie went to his forever home today with Jeremy, Diana and their chocolate girl Mina of Lakewood. This completely adorable and lovable little boy was removed from a less than ideal situation by his caring foster mom who asked us to take him into the program which we gladly did.

Reggie is a very smart and loving little boy who will thrive in a loving home like the one he is going to! We know that big sister Mina will show him the ropes!

Roxee

RoxeeRoxee went to her forever home today with Julia of Colorado Springs!!!! Darling Roxee came to us from a family who no longer had time for her. She needed a healthier diet and exercise plan, and lots of love and attention. She got all of that from her wonderful foster dad Joe and then the wonderful people at City Bark Parker along with our intake and medical and transport teams. Roxee is such a delightful girl, and was so excited to go home with her new mom! Roxee's new life will consist of calm days as the queen bee in her new home while mom is at work - with midday breaks from a dog-walker — and then lots of cuddles and walks in the evenings and on the weekends! We know these two girls are perfect for each other!.

Bo (formerly Charles)

Bo & RayOur little chocolate love bug Charles — now Bo — was adopted today by his thrilled new dad Ray of Denver. Ray has been looking for the right youngster to come into his life, and applied with SHLR because now is the right time.

Bo came to us from a family who loved him dearly - but their circumstances changed and they were forced to give him up. Bo is a typical energetic lab youngster who will thrive from love, attention and obedience training...and that is exactly what he will be getting from his new dad and also his new personal trainer! We are thrilled for him and this wonderful situation.

Bo was so lucky to be fostered by Joe, who took such great care of him — daily walks, lots of love and a spot on the bed every night!

Moose (formerly Ogden)

Ogden & FAMILyStunning 2 year old Ogden — now Moose — was adopted today by his thrilled new parents Dan and Cathy of Fort Collins. This sweet young guy came to us from a town up north where he was found running stray. Unclaimed, he was welcomed into our program. This amazing guy proved to be a total love at his foster home with Kristin and Brian where he learned some leash manners, was introduced to swimming and simply thrived from the love, attention and regular vigorous exercise he received!

Dan and Cathy were looking for a companion — specifically a black male lab. When they came home from vacation and saw Moose, they knew he was the one.

Jessie

Jessie & FamilyOur resident sweet guy Jessie was adopted tonight by his wonderful new family Dani, Don, Connor and canine sister Metoo! This precious BIG guy - who is almost 8 — came from a tough situation and he needed to be rehomed. He was very lucky to have been fostered by Melody where he just thrived from the love and attention he received…and regular exercise and some canine calorie counting to get his boyish figure back!

Dani and Don were looking for a companion for their family and canine girl Metoo. They own a retail store so the dogs are never alone and can go to work with them every day! Metoo and Jessie did pretty well together — and the family is committed to getting a little help from a trainer to ease the transition to ensure success all around!

Charlotte

CharlotteGorgeous 10 year old Charlotte was adopted by her new mom and canine sister Lily today! This beautiful lady came to us from a perpetually changing family situation and her family knew she'd be happier in a more settled home, so they called us. She is so sweet and trusting, and just needed a regular schedule and love.

She hit the jackpot with foster mom Peg who showered her with attention and care…and she thrived there. As she was settling in, Judith was looking for the right senior gal to add to her household. She and Lily thought that just maybe Charlotte might be a good fit — and she was! Lily and Charlotte did just fine together when they met, and they went home as a little family! Pictured here is Charlotte (chocolate) with mom Judith and little sister Lily at the adoption!

Sadie

Sadie & familySadie was adopted today by her new family Gwen, John and Sean — and big canine brother Raven Carl! This lucky girl came to us via Golden Retriever Rescue who took in Sadie and her Golden Retriever buddy who together kept escaping from their yard looking for adventure.

Sadie was fostered by the great folks at Camp Bow Wow — Boulder - who took GREAT care of her and taught her a few manners. Her new family is committed to continuing that and turning her into a proper young lady.

Millie

Millie & GailMillie was adopted by her new mom this evening! This beautiful young lady came to us from a family whose circumstances changed so they called us — yay! She is athletic and young and still quite puppyish, and was looking for a home where someone had the time to work with her and turn her into a proper lady.

Right about the time Millie went to her foster home with Ted, Gail had decided it was time to get another companion...you see, her beloved SHLR girl passed away at a very young age last February, and Gail was ready to fill that hole in her home and heart - Miss Millie was the perfect choice. Gail is very active, and we know that the two girls will have loads of fun together over the next decade!
