Jordy

JordyOn a slushy, snowy spring day, Jordy found his new forever family: Jen, Matt, canine brother Samson and 2 kitties, Izzy and Molly. After a few moments of getting acquainted, Samson decided to show Jordy around the great yard he has at his house and off they went for a good romp. Then, these two handsome guys felt it was time to explore inside the house and let Jordy say hello to the kitties. After a quick howdy to Izzy, the more social of the felines, Jordy seemed to be satisfied and went on to check out all the toys. Samson was quite accommodating about sharing his toys with Jordy. And, as the photo shows, Jordy was excited about the rawhides he found to occupy his puppy chewing.

All in all it was a great match and these two Labs will be having fun-filled days with their wonderful owners walking in the neighborhood, going to the nearby dog park and swimming at a local center.

Remo

RemoSweet Remo found a sweet new family today! Remo wasted no time making himself comfortable with his new family Ed, Cynthia and canine sister, Waffle and he fit right in! They have a second home in the mountains where Remo will have a great big yard to romp around in with Waffle.

Ed and Cynthia are also very active so Remo will get to accompany them hiking, cross country skiing and cycling. This handsom boy is going to have so much fun!

We wish Remo all the best in all of the fun adventures with his new family.

Tanner

TannerTanner hit the jackpot and found his forever home not far from his foster home. Tanner was adopted by his foster parents' best friend, Terry.

Tanner is a young, athletic guy who has found a new dad who will spoil him just like he deserves. He will enjoy many days playing and hunting with his new dad and will still get to play with his foster brothers and sisters on a regular basis.

What a lucky, lucky boy!

Mocha

Mocha Our beautiful Mocha greeted Candida with true Lab enthusiasm tempered by that wonderful mature behavior many of us love so much in our senior Labs. No jumping, no barking, just warm affection.

Candida was instantly in love and they left shortly after this photo was taken, with Mocha eagerly jumping into Candida's car and never looking back!

Finnegan

Finnegay Our handsome Finnegan found his new home over the weekend! He was so excited when he got to his new house, that he completely forgot about his manners. He helped himself to his new canine brother's food, dug into a box of milk bones, and chewed up every rawhide in sight. But, that didn't stop his new mom from loving him:)

Marie (his new mom) just adores him and so does his new brother, Shane. After he checked out his new home, it was play time with his brother. In fact, it was a little difficult to get a picture because we couldn't keep them still long enough…I think those two will be a great pair! Marie has had labs in the past and couldn't wait to get herself another one. She loves the temperament of labs and the fact that they have so much love to give, so I am sure Finnegan will make her happy as this big boy has plenty of that to go around.

Finnegan will live a very happy, spoiled life with his new family.

Daisy

DaisyThey say that April showers bring May flowers and they certainly did for Liza; they brought a big, beautiful, yellow Daisy!

As you can tell from her picture, Daisy is such a happy girl and so thrilled to join Liza and canine brother, Max. She made herself right at home and found the toy basket with a big bone inside.

Max hadn't touch that bone in months, yet found it irresistible as soon as Daisy got her paws on it. He sat there ever so patiently as his new big sister gnawed away on her new favorite bone. Daisy and Max will get daily walks and they live really close to a great park for regular fun outings! It was an early morning so Liza and Max weren't up to getting their photos taken, but Daisy was more than happy to pose for a picture in her new home.

We wish this sweet girl all the best!

Remo (formerly Cadbury)

RemoMeet Remo (formally Cadbury) and his new parents, Jeff and Nancy. They had adopted from SHLR previously and were ready to open their hearts to another lab after losing their beloved Reese. Remo has a lot of the same qualities as Reese and it didn’t take long for them to fall in love.

Remo showed what a good boy he is and how cuddly he can be…despite his large size! He also showed off his very good leash skills. Remo definitely hit the jackpot! His new home is on 6 acres in the mountains!!!

After just a weekend with his forever family, Remo is feeling very comfortable in his new home and loves all the exercise he gets in the mountains. He also loves following his new mom around everywhere she goes!

Rain

RainThey found each other a month ago when Jeannie began to foster Rain, and it has been a truly heartwarming 30 days these two ladies have had together.

Rain needed a new home and Jeannie was searching for a new beginning. Rain has given Jeannie the unconditional love and support she needed. In return, Jeannie has given Rain those same two things. Both have smiled again and started to play again. Rain and Jeannie walk daily and get in a game or two of fetch, and Jeannie's doctor gives a thumbs up for her adopting Rain. They have started a new life together.

Rain has her wonderful and loving forever home and Jeannie has a wonderful and loving best friend. Only after the rain is there a rainbow...a pot of gold is found in the making!

Katie and Mocha

It was a double delicious day for these senior gals, Mocha and Lola, now named Katie! They found each other and they found their forever home with Kathleen and Paul. Mocha, a 7 year old black beauty with chocolate shades and Katie (pictured next to Kathleen), a stunning 8 year old black Lab are now the best of buddies in their new comfy surroundings.

It will be fun-filled days ahead for these girls enjoying walks to the nearby park and romps in their lush backyard. Paul and Kathleen just could not contain their excitement about bringing these Labs into their loving home and beginning their lives together. What a great time is in store for them all!

Luna

Lovely Luna was on her best behavior to meet David and Valerie. She showed off her fetching skills and her good manners. But, most of all she showed her love. David and Luna were instant friends and Valerie was cheering. They lost their Lab, Keta, a few months ago to a sudden illness and have been waiting until the time was right to bring another lovable Lab into their home. That time arrived when they met Luna who will be David's constant companion on walks, running errands, fishing, and playing fetch in the backyard. They have three cats in the house but the report is good…Luna seems to be uninterested especially after a few hisses from the head cat of the household!

What a great home Luna has found with David and Valerie!

Breezie

BreezieYou wouldn't know from this picture that Breezie is shy around men! Assisted by the little baggie of hotdog bits thoughtfully supplied by her foster mom Carol, sweet two year old Breezie soon felt at ease with Dave who is very gentle and has just the right touch for our little Breezie.

After meeting the people, she got busy exploring her big new yard. When Dave went inside for a minute to scare up a bag of toys, she hung out at the door, trying to follow him in, and failing that, waited for him to come back out. When he produced a ball on a rope, the games began! She is a true retriever with a puppy-like zest for play. Dave and Betty were excited when their previous lab, an older rescue, occasionally showed that spark, so they should appreciate Breezie's young energy.

After approving of her new Pom/Pek brother, we went in the house so she could meet the cat. Now this isn't just any cat. This is a 27 pound orange giant. After a few moments of surveying the newcomer from his perch on the back of the couch, the cat hopped down and walked right up to Breezie. They touched noses, Breezie never letting go of the tennis ball in her mouth. And that was that!
