Lady is a charming, waggy and best friend to everyone, especially if you happen to have a treat handy! She is a perky, happy “lady of a certain age” (shhh . . . the vet said about ten-and-a-half years old, but she doesn’t know it so we’re telling you on the QT!) who has a trim 60-pound figure wrapped in a beautiful fox red coat. Lady was taken to a shelter when her owner could no longer take care of her.
Lady’s foster mom adores her and is quick to sing her praises: “Lady is very easy to care for and is one of the sweetest and most loving fosters I’ve had (and I’ve fostered lots).” Lady is house trained, fine with free roam of the house, loves to lie on the couch, knows several commands and takes treats gently. In addition, she rides quietly in the car, is a polite greeter and walks nicely on leash. A better-natured soul would be hard to find. Lady gets along with the dogs in her foster home and ones who come to visit. She is quite fond of the 10 and 11-year-old boys who come to visit, too. We don’t know her feelings about cats.
Like many mature dogs Lady has some arthritis, so a family that enjoys moderate exercise with their pup, like walks around the neighborhood, would be just right. She’d appreciate a home with fewer stairs, too. Lady takes a readily available medication to keep her comfortable, as well as a joint supplement. It’s important her new family keeps her weight trim.
An affection girl who likes to be inside with you, Lady may just be the perfect mellow and gentle companion you have been hoping to find!
