A lovable and spunky character, that’s our Knight! He’s a about six years old and tips the scale at just under 50ish pounds. Even though he’s a smaller Lab with a svelte physique, he could use another five or so pounds. Knight comes to us from a busy, growing family who wanted a more fulfilling life for him than they felt they could provide.
Ready to be your active best friend, Knight is house trained, crate trained, knows sit and rides well in the car. He is eager to please, makes great eye contact and is very trainable, especially if there is a treat involved! He’s a bouncy greeter who may need a reminder to keep four on the floor.
Knight is very much an on-the- go-guy who wonders why you’re so slow at the other end of the leash. A front clip type harness or Gentle Leader is best for walks. Knight can become overexcited when he sees other dogs on leash, so it’s best to give him some space. He lived with several other dogs and let them know: “Keep your paws off my food!” He enjoys playing with buddies at doggie day care. We’re not sure how he feels about cats.
Faves? “Being with my family, retrieving! walks! hikes!” Yes, our agile, energetic little guy loves the active life . . . followed by a good nap!
The best home for Knight will be a single family home with a yard. His ideal forever Peeps will be experienced active Lab lovers who will provide kind leadership, be committed to continuing his training, and appreciate his love of activity.
Knight’s former family remarked, “He has the sweetest heart.” And when you meet this handsome, most personable pup we bet you will agree 100%!!
NOTE: Knight had a tail injury and wags both his tushy and an adorable nub.
