On February 14 2010, we welcomed a rambunctious 2-year-old Lab into our home, thanks to your organization. Within an hour of running through our front door, he jumped up on our dining room table and buried his face in a platter of freshly baked, frosted cupcakes. That night, we wondered what we’d gotten ourselves into, and whether Bo would ever acclimate himself to life indoors.
Bo soon learned how to melt our hearts with his eyes, and we discovered how much more fun the world could be with a four-legged teenager.
Bo has been the center of our lives for the past 11 years, and we want to thank you for every beautiful moment we’ve shared with him. Our hearts broke earlier this week when his body failed him and we had to say goodbye to our best friend.
We’ve made a contribution to Safe Harbor in his memory, and hope to do so on his birthday every year hereafter.
We’d like to share with you our tribute to Bo:
Good boy, Bo.
You fetched all the sticks.
Scared all the fish.
Ate all the treats.
Stole all the covers.
And filled every inch of our hearts.
Rest now, sweet boy.
We love you more than words can say.
Thank you for choosing us as your humans.
