Gary and Irene have a new Buddy!  This Buddy is a gorgeous black Lab youngster who joined their family last fall at about 10 months old. Buddy has settled right in and is a friend to all and can sometimes be found sharing a catnap with one of his kitty siblings. In between naps and playtime with friends, Buddy enjoys walking his parents, supervising the kitchen counters, and perfecting his self-appointed role of resident toy terminator.  This clever pup has even made time in his busy schedule to study hard and catch up on his lessons in order to become the very best Buddy he can be.

Gary and Irene sent us an update on their handsome new addition:

It has been almost four months since Buddy (formerly Charles) became a member of our family, and he has settled in completely at this point and is becoming great friends with our one-year-old cat, Riley. Buddy is a typical Lab, extremely loving and loyal, he has calmed considerably after realizing he is adopted and loved in his forever home. Eager to please and quite smart, he learned very well at behavior training classes last fall. He is very friendly and playful with other dogs. He enjoys walks on the leash and his large yard in Bailey. He loves his dog toys but has a tendency to destroy them, even some Kong dog and tire biter toys!  He is working out the last of his separation anxiety. We do need to be aware of food left out as he will counter surf if you leave him something to pilfer, but he is a great dog and we are overjoyed to have him. He already has adopted many specific places in our home to sleep or lounge with his peeps and kitties — he’s very comfortable here. We adopted Buddy immediately on our first visit with the foster home and we are glad we did. He is a wonderful soul. As you can see in the pictures, Buddy has to endure a very Ruff” life…
