Young Clyde has stepped in to help his new Sheltie sister, 13-year-old Annie, with all the couch-sitting and people-warming duties in his new home. David and Linda added this beautiful pup to their family last month, and he has been very busy living and loving the good puppy life, while learning some big dog manners along the way. Clyde’s new dad tell us: Clyde is a playful, loving, gentle 9-month-old yellow Lab pup. We rescued each other on March 1, 2020.
My wife and I had lost our beloved 16-year-old lab/cattle dog mix on July 31, 2019. At the time I was going through cancer treatment. Another dog was out of the question because of my cancer. In November I was diagnosed as cancer free. The thought of another rescue dog was always in the back of our minds. I searched other rescue sites but never could make a connection. It’s funny with dogs….you just know when you meet your soulmate.
A friend of mine told me he had rescued a brown Lab from Safe Harbor and spoke highly of your organization. In February I started watching the website but no luck on a connection. Then in late February Clyde was there. We met with the wonderful foster family and it was love at first sight. Now that he’s learned steps are not that difficult…he curls up with us every night on the couch and our bed. Clyde has had a few “Marley” moments, but we understand he is still a growing pup. He listens well and has learned a few tricks. Clyde has made our home…..a home again. Thank you for the opportunity.
