We have a soft spot in our hearts for the senior Labs and didn’t hesitate to scoop up eight-year-old Drummer. An unclaimed stray with little hope for adoption in a crowded rural Arkansas shelter located in an area with a high rate of poverty, that hope was made even dimmer when he tested positive for heartworm disease. An affable Lab with a heart of gold, Drummer also has some arthritis and needs an extensive dental. We will make sure these things are addressed to make him more comfortable as well as following the American Heartworm Society’s lengthy protocol to address his heartworm disease. He’s looking forward to a healthy heart and bright smile!
