Gunner is living the high life in his new mountain home with Kelsey and John. He has a new name to go with his fresh start in life, and is now known as Hunter, “but you can call me “Slope Dog”, he told us with a wink and a wag. With fabulous, loving and active new parents, and a mountain playground at his doorstep, this young powder hound has surely found his own little slice of Lab heaven

Kelsey writes:  Once upon a time, “Gunner” quickly became “Hunter.” It’s a classic story of ‘who needed who more?’ I knew this sweet guy needed me, but I didn’t realize how much I needed him in return! It’s been a month since we brought home our baby and I couldn’t even begin to count how many times I’ve said “I love you.”

You think Colorado has had a rough winter with snow? Hunter sure doesn’t! Living in the mountains, he goes crazy for even the slightest bit of snow. His favorite things to do in the snow are burying his nose and playing catch. He’ll sit on the deck for hours with his bone while the snow falls. At 1.5 years old, Hunter sure does have a lot of puppy energy, but once that’s run out he’s as cuddly as can be. He loves giving kisses and being mellow on the couch with mom and dad. Speaking of mellowing out, Hunter has become a total bed hog! He loves “his” new King-size bed, and we love sharing it with him! The only down side to adopting Hunter has been my daily struggle of going to work! We need paid time off for newly adopted dogs and their owners… Who’s starting the petition?!
