When a handsome young yellow fellow named Jethro first arrived in town, he hitched a ride with Sue, one of Safe Harbor’s wonderful transport volunteers.  Jethro is a pretty smart pup and knew right away that his new friend Sue was definitely a keeper, so he turned on all of his considerable charm in hopes that he could convince her to one day transport him home with her forever. Clearly Jethro’s plan succeeded beyond his wildest dreams as this two-year-old pup is now a very proud member of Sue’s family and happily shares his new mom with all of his new canine and feline siblings.  Sue sent us an update on sweet Jethro:I have been transporting for SHLR for about four years. When the transport request came out for Jethro and I saw his face, I knew I had to transport him to AEVH. Upon seeing him I fell in love with him. After he came home he quickly learned that Hershey (ten-year-old chocolate Lab) runs the roost. Jethro also learned that you can’t chase the kitties. Jethro is doing great with his new fur family and quickly settled into being my 45- pound lap dog. He is truly a joy to have. Many thanks to Kathryn and Brian for fostering Jethro!
