After Jett’s family moved from their Nebraska farm to town, Jett greatly enjoyed meandering around town visiting all the neighbors. His family, busy with several small children, worried about keeping him safe. And so, this 9.5-year-old traveled several hundred miles to us. Our volunteer remembered on the ride to Denver Jett “enjoyed Cheeto’s, tolerated Eric Clapton and did a whole lot of tail waggin’ when he arrived”. Jett, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, led the good life with his foster dad going on daily walks, cheering him on during volleyball games in the park, watching old movies and hogging the bed at night for the five months they were together.
