“Two parents, two kids, one cat…hmmm, that’s a lot for one three-year-old pup to keep track of,” thought Luna when she first met her new family. But this little chocolate beauty was definitely up to the challenge and is excelling in her new role of Family Lab, showing special expertise in snuggling, couch warming, and zooming. Luna always knew she wanted forever parents and a couple of kids of her own and loves them all dearly. However, she had not realized that she wanted a cat, but has been pleasantly surprised by what a fine fellow her new feline brother is, and the two have become great buddies despite the language barrier.
Luna’s new mom, Olivia, sent us an update: Let me just start by saying that Luna or “Tuna” which we sometimes call her is an absolute gem! Luna is such a character and she always makes us laugh. She actually developed rutter tail from wagging her tail so much her first week in her home! Her butt runs or zoomies as some people call them are the lowest and fastest I’ve ever seen. She has quickly developed a bond with her cat brother, Mochi, and they play daily. After the loss of our sweet Lab Tilly, or Moon Shadow as I nicknamed her, we were heartbroken. Luna has allowed our hearts to grow and laugh again.
I like to think that my Moon Shadow brought us to Luna, and I take it as a sign that Luna’s name meaning is moon. We are so privileged to have dogs in our lives and we will love our Luna forever. Thank you Safe Harbor! Thank you to Ladean for fostering Luna!
