Our tail-wagging Princess Leia is a sweet, loving young lady with a ready smile. She is about two years old and weighs a food loving 69.5 pounds. “Vet says I need to be more like 64 pounds,” she sighs. Leia and her handsome brother, Luke, were taken in by a Good Samaritan after it became clear they had been abandoned
Leia is house trained, crate trained, is a ladylike passenger in the car, and is eager to learn everything you’d like to teach her. She is an on-the-go gal on leash, so a front-clip harness is best for walks. Leia is a friendly, happy greeter, though she is still working on four-on- the floor. She gets along well with other dogs and loves her Lab brother. Her favorite place is by your side or at your feet—you never have to worry about being alone! Other faves include hunting lizards, rooting around in an overflowing toy box, and going for walks. Retrieving is still a bit of a mystery.
Lei’s foster mom adds:
“Leia is well-adjusted, has a very sweet temperament and is very snuggly. She wants to please and is learning fast. She is very intelligent and has the potential to be an incredible dog if someone takes the time to fully train her. She needs activity. Also she definitely needs a home where she can snuggle with a human on the couch!”
A lovely and lovable young lady, Leia is looking forward to a new beginning with a family of her own!
