Project Description

Introducing Maxwell, or Max as his friends call him, a gorgeous almost white Lab!  He’s three years old and a trim 70 pounds of people-loving, tail-waggin’ active Lab love.  Max comes to us from a family who was not able to provide the training and exercise a young Lab needs.  Wanting a better life for him, they called us to help find a forever home where he could thrive.

Eager to add to his resume that boasts A+ recess skills, Max is super excited to be enrolled in a board and train program with Terroux Dog Training He is working on good manners and basic commands (including sit, down, stay, recall) as well as leash-walking skills. “Check out the photo of me doing a down-stay!” he wags.  Sarah, his trainer, reports he is a receptive student who is off to a good start and making progress.  Safe Harbor will provide two training sessions with Sarah and Max for his new family so everyone starts out on the right paw.  “‘Life is good’ will be our motto!” smiles Max.

Max is a very social and energetic Lab who gets along well with other dogs, but it’s people he adores most of all. He craves attention and loves to have his flanks rubbed.  A typical young Lab, Max will thrive with an active family that will provide consistent daily exercise, kind leadership, structure, and continue the training Safe Harbor is providing with Terroux Dog Training.  No cats or chickens for Max, please.

“So, can I come and sit and stay with you forever?” woofs Max. “I’ve got a big Lab heart full of love for a new family and will love you to the Max!”
