Miss Moxie is about as personable and happy a Lab lady as you can find! Our girl with fabulous silver highlights had 11 candles on her b-day cake last July. At 90 pounds, she’s finding her swim suit a bit snug for summer and is working on our vet’s recommendation to lose 10-15 pounds. Moxie joined us after her lifelong owner passed away.
Moxie is a gem who’s friendly engaging, gentle and loves belly rubs. She settled in quickly with her foster parents, is house trained, sleeps well though the night, is accustomed to free roam of the home, knows sit and comes when called. You couldn’t ask for a nicer companion in the car, one who is happy to hop right in. Moxie is friendly with other dogs, but we don’t know her feelings about cats.
Her foster mom adds:
“Moxie is an energetic senior gal who loves a walk and a good nap. She pulls a bit on leash, but is easily redirected. She is a confident and cheerful Lab despite having lost her owners and made the long road trip from Arkansas. She is affectionate, loves to be petted, and seems to like men and women equally.
“She’s shown no interest in jumping our fence, but enjoyed exploring our yard. When I pointed out the rabbits in our yard she chased them, but they of course were too fast. She met a neighbor’s dog on our walk whom she greeted by smelling, but displayed no further interest. Moxie greeted our neighbor in a friendly way by wagging her tail and leaning in for pets. All in all she seems more people oriented.”
Miss Moxie, a super sweet, most companionable, people-loving Lab lady, would love to grace your home and sit and stay with you forever!
