“Helloooo . . . I’m Nigel! I’m about two years old, 60 pounds and am a friendly affectionate, playful guy who’s pretty comfortable in my own fur. After a ride in the puppy paddy wagon to the local pound as a stray, Safe Harbor’s rescue partner bailed me out so I could head for the good life with a forever family.”
Nigel settled in quickly with his foster family and is a most welcome guest. He’s house trained, know a few commands, takes treats nicely and sleeps quietly all night. He’s a most polite greeter, and rides nicely in the car, On leash Nigel wonders why you are so slow so a front clip type harness is best for walks together. Nigel adores playing with his Lab foster sister. We don’t know how he feels about cats, but no chickens please! Besides playing with his foster sister other faves include walks, snuggles and pets.
His foster mom adds:
“Nigel is exceptionally sweet and loving, very low key and loves attention, but is not overly needy He fit into our household immediately, easily getting into our routine. He really wants to please.
“Nigel is initially timid, but loves attention. He’s very friendly and likes all dogs and people he meets. I think he is still a little reserved from all the changes, but we suspect he has more energy than he’s displaying. He still hasn’t recovered from being abandoned as a stray, but has fit nicely into our home.
“I think Nigel would be happiest with another dog; he really wants to play with a dog versus toys. He is very adaptable and would probably be ok as an only dog. We have noticed he is definitely more confident when out and about with our dog.”
“So grab some snacks and let’s get acquainted!” wags dapper and very personable young Nigel.
