Miss Nyla, who just turned one year old, is all a Lab youngster can be . . . full of a zest for life, she’s very energetic, playful, ready to learn all you can teach her and is loaded with love on four paws! At 55 pounds she’s trim and slim. Nyla came to us from a family whose circumstances changed and was not able to give her the attention and exercise a young Lab needs.

A lover squeaky toys and people, Nyla is house trained and happy to demo her sit, paw and high five. A treat is appreciated! She is an enthusiastic greeter who needs some work on four-on-the- floor. On leash she wonders why you are so slow so a front clip type harness is best for leash walks. Nyla get along well with other dogs, but in the home she can be quite persistent in trying to get them to play with her. Not all dogs appreciate this enthusiasm. She seems more relaxed and focused on her humans when she is the only dog in the home. She was fine with a dog savvy cat in her foster home. Squirrels and bunnies are fair game.

Faves include attention and being loved on by her peeps, retrieving and playing!

Like all young Labs, Nyla will thrive with an active family who is committed to providing her with the extensive daily exercise a young Lab needs (a walk around the block once a day is not enough!), as well as a commitment to her continued training to bring our her best and potential as a wonderful lifelong companion. Still quite puppy-ish, she’ll need a good supply of approved chewables. Patience and sense of humor with a young one’s missteps are musts!

With her happy enthusiasm, she’s sure to keep you on your toes and bring a lot of joy to her active new family!

Note: Nyla’s activity level and training at this point is best suited for a home with a yard, and active adult with teenage children.
