Yes, Shaboo is as sweet and soft as he looks! Super friendly and eager to please, he’s about six months old and an irresistible 45 pounds. Shaboo’s owners left him at a shelter when they could not keep him. The shelter asked us to help.

Everyone who’s met Shaboo has fallen I love with him. He’s house trained, fine with free roam of the home and will go in his crate on his own for a nap – no need to close the door. Shaboo walks nicely on leash, is a quick learner and knows “sit”, but you must ask in Mandarin! He gets along well with other dogs (don’t know about cats), loves toys and enjoys a bit a retrieving. But most of all, he loves company and being with his Peeps. One of his favorite spots is laying behind his foster mom, like a pillow, when she works.

More from Shaboo’s foster mom:

“‘Boo’ is a sweetie pie and a cuddle bug! Super mellow for a six-month-old. Boo is a very chill puppy. When left alone, he doesn’t bark or get into mischief. He is a lover for sure. Lays on me in the evening while watching TV. Lays near me sometimes while I’m working, but also independently goes into another room. Follows me around, but not incessantly like some Velcro dogs.

“I think ‘Boo’ would do fine in any home but would certainly love a yard where he can be outside and play. I have not had him around kids, but he’s so sweet. The previous own noted he was good with them. Any home filled with love would be great. He will be a great dog for some lucky humans!”

NOTE: Shaboo has a heart murmur and been thoroughly evaluated by our cardiologist. She recommends normal activity, a well-balanced diet that includes grains and taurine, a taurine supplement (available over the counter) and a heart re-check in six months or so.
