Chocolate sweetness on four paws, that’s our lovely Miss Sugar!  She’s a pleasantly active ten-and-a-half year old Lab who is quite a morsel of fudge at her current 85 pounds. “I’m working on losing few! “ she wags.  Sugar comes to us from a family who could no longer care for her.

Sugar is house trained, crate trained and does well with free roam of the home, although she may get in to a little benign mischief  –  napping on the furniture, checking out what’s on the counter. She’ll follow several hand signals to demo her sit, down and stay. Sugar has a very happy bouncy personality when meeting new people, is a delightful passenger in the car and walks well on leash. Other dogs count her as a friend, however they’re on notice that she’s not into sharing her food or even the tiniest morsel with other dogs.  She lived with cats, and isn’t much into toys and retrieving . Faves?  Following her peeps around, walks, exploring and a good snooze.   All in all our girl is affectionate, playful, and comfortable in her own fur.

Her foster mom adds:

“Sugar is super sweet, well behaved and adapts well to change. She is playful, very loving easy to care for, and  loves to go on walks and meet new people.

“The best forever home for Sugar?   A home that wants the joy that a senior dog brings, loves to go on walks, and make Sugar part of their day.”

Sugar is eager to bring endless love and warmth to a family who will cherish her.

NOTE: Labs are prone to ear infections. Sugar has a history of neglected ear infections. Her new family will need be attentive to keeping them clean, comfortable, and providing medication as needed.
