Zeus’ foster mom describes him perfectly: “He’s a cheerful woolly bear!” This happy guy, who was fascinated by his reflection in the patio door window, is eight-years-old and a 62 pound pup under all that fluff. Zeus lived outside in a pen with only a dog house for shelter most of his life. Weather in his part of the country ranges from below zero to triple digits, and this winter has been a very cold one. His mom was Lab; dad unknown. Zeus came to us after his owner was no longer able to care for him.
The first order of business after his vet check was a bath and good brushing. “Oh and I do love to be brushed!” he wags. Zeus settled easily in to his foster home and is enjoying a soft bed, warmth, good meals, and dog buddy to pal around with. He comes when called, knows sit, takes treats nicely and is a firm believer that there is no such thing as too much love and attention. A lover and leaner, he’ll collapse for a tummy rub and just smile with delight. Other dogs enjoy Zeus’ company, cats and chickens not so much. A six foot wooden fence is required in his new home.
Cheerful, pleasantly active, and a total lover, Zeus is one irresistible fluff of a pup!
