Rocky, formerly known as Gibson, is a stunning 2-3-year-old Lab boy with a beautiful black coat and big brown eyes that will melt your heart and have you reaching into the treat jar to give him just one more. After some time on the streets, Rocky knows that there is no place like home and he has truly found the home of his doggie dreams with his new mom and best forever friend, Beth. Rocky is Beth’s first dog, but he tells us that she is a natural, and he is beyond thrilled to be the lucky pup who was chosen to join her family.
Beth sent us an update on life with Rocky: I found Rocky through SHLR a little over a month ago, and as a first-time dog owner, I was completely panicked the first weekend I had him (despite months / years of planning). I didn’t know – will he eat everything in my home? How will he do with other dogs? With other people? Will I lose him? Those moments of worry have passed, and I couldn’t be happier to have him in my life!
Rocky is a happy go-lucky guy and loves being around other people and dogs. He is always up for an adventure and is learning to be a great hiking buddy. Some of his favorite things include peanut butter, belly rubs, chasing rabbits, and car rides.
This is just the beginning and I’m looking forward too many more adventures with my new best bud! Thank you SHLR for giving Rocky an opportunity for a better life and for entrusting me to provide that for him.
