The lovely Sarah Smile is the sixth(!) Safe Harbor pup to win the Lab Lottery and become a part of Sharm and Bill’s family! After losing their SHLR Lab, Margie, a few months ago, this wonderful couple decided to come back for sixths, and five-year-old Sarah couldn’t be happier that she was the lucky Lab they chose to join their canine crew.

Sharm and Bill tells us:

Our Sarah Smile (formerly Sierra) is sweet as a Hershey’s candy kiss. She learned the dog door in one minute as all she did was follow our Corgi ( Buddy) mix into the backyard. She settled in so quickly and acted as if she had always been a part of our pack. Who ever surrendered her took care of her as she can sit, lay down, shake and takes treats ever so gently. She is a real love bug and wants lots of attention. She and Buddy play hard and patrol the backyard to keep any squirrels in check. She and Buddy have become great pals. She met our son’s English Mastiff, Drax, and he fell in love with her immediately and she wore out all 168 pounds of him and he is only 18 months old. She met the rest of the family and was great with the grandkids and they had fun running with her. It has been a number of years since we have had two younger dogs and it is such a joy to watch their youthful enthusiasm. Thank you Safe Harbor for once again giving us the chance to give a great Labrador a second chance. Dogs Rule!
