Our Labs Are Waiting For You To Find Them

Before going to their forever home, all of our dogs are spayed or neutered (if over 4 months old), microchipped, brought up-to-date on their shots and any medical needs are addressed. Adults are heartworm tested. All our dogs reside in foster homes where we get acquainted with each individual.

Before you apply for a dog, please take a moment to read A Note About Our Rescued Labs

Adoption Guidelines:
  • Children living at home must be at least 7 years old
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
  • You will need a securely fenced yard.
  • All current dogs in your home must be spayed or neutered.
  • If you rent/lease your home, we require written permission from your landlord to keep a Lab before we can consider your application. You may fax it to 734.661.6191 or send it to SHLR, 601 16th Street #C322, Golden, CO 80401.
  • Your application will expire 90 days from the date of acknowledgement.
  • We primarily serve Colorado’s Front Range community
Adoption Fees

Our adoption fees are:

  • Puppy to 1 year - $300
  • Adult 1-6 years - $250
  • Senior 7-10 years - $195
  • Senior 11+ years - $100

If adopting multiple Labs at one time, adoption fees may be reduced. All adoption fees are pooled to provide for the care for all of our rescued Labs while in transition to their forever homes. Our largest single expense is the veterinary care we provide.
