Labs are known for their fun and silly sides, and Goofy is a “Poster Pup” for both! This handsome rascal is about two years old and 79 pounds. Adventurous Goofy ended up a stray in a busy shelter, and was pretty thrilled when we presented him with a bus ticket to Colorado, land of Lab Lovers. “I’m on it!” he wagged.

Goofy is house trained, crate trained and know sit so far. He’s eager to please and loves treats so training is going well. Goofy loves everyone and greets them like a big puppy. Other dogs give him two paws up as an easy going, playful pal. Faves? Long hikes/walks, playing with people and dogs, chewing on his toys, and tossing the ball to himself. He is an on-the-go guy for a front clip type harness is best for walks.

Our volunteer adds:

“Goofy is a yellow Lab with a golden heart. He is pure joy, energy, and enthusiasm for anything. Goofy has puppy lust for life in a big, beautiful adult body. He is still young enough and eager enough to learn how to please you. So with proper training and guidance, you will have a life-long companion. He is an excellent walker/hiker, which is a great outlet for his energy and to bond with you. He is curious and intelligent and has a desire to know ‘what’s going on’.”

The best home for Goofy? It will be an active family willing provide him the lots of consistent exercise and engage in positive-oriented training to bring out his best self. Another active dog in the family would be a welcome!

He loves to play, play, play and enjoys everything! Goofy is a happy dog with a joy for life. You find yourself laughing and joyful when he is around you.”

His name truly describes him best — he truly is a goofball!
