Gunner is a great big sweetie! Happy and very handsome, he’s about 1.5 years old and quite a hunk of love at his current 114 pounds. “The vet said even though I’m a ‘big boned’ Lab, I need to lose 20 pounds. By my calculations, that’s two 10# boxes of Milk Bones!” Gunner grew up in a loving, active family, but due to changing circumstances, he is now  looking for a new home.

Gunner is a fun goofy good-natured well socialized guy raised along with a family of five kids from ‘little’ to teen. He’s house trained, crate trained; knows sit and down and takes treats nicely. Meeting new folks he might give you a ‘woof’, but then greets you with mostly polite four-on-the floor excitement (he is still a big puppy!) and a wagging tail.

Gunner lived happily with another older Lab lady and enjoys meeting new canine pals; we don’t know about cats. Even though Gunner is a big guy and can be quite energetic, he walks pretty well on leash. If it would be OK with you, he relishes sleeping on the couch or lying next to you for a movie – hold the butter on the popcorn though! Faves include walks, car rides, being with his family and playing ball.

Our pup’s new family must be committed to helping him lose needed weight with less kibble in the bowl  (he prefers salmon and sweet potato) and more daily exercise.

A happy playful guy who is as sweet as can be and loves attention, that’s delightful irresistible young Gunner in a nutshell.
