Our tall, svelte, and handsome Legolas is more interested in the Fellowship of a Forever Family than an adventure to find a ring! He’s 1.5 years old and at 47 pounds needs to plump up another five or so. Legolas relishes food so we bet he’ll be a perfect weight in no time. Hard though it is to believe, this handsome good-natured youngster, who may have some Vizsla in his ancestry, was overlooked for many months in a crowded shelter.

Our princely pup is a people lover through and though and bonds quickly to those who care for him. Legolas is house trained, crate trained, knows sit and down, rides well in the car, and is a friendly greeter. He loves treats, is a quick learner and eager to please. For a small guy he’s quite strong on the leash so a front clip type harness is best for walks. And oh how he loves walks and lots of exercise! He’s very playful with other dogs and mentioned he’d relish a canine housemate to play, play, play with and hangout with when you’re away! We don’t know about cats. Our rescue partner related he loves water and she even found him with all four feet in a large water container . . . what a silly boy!

So grab some treats and make a date to meet this engaging young character. We bet heads will turn when you step out with elegant and friendly Legolas by your side!

Notes: 1. Legolas was itchy when he arrived and may have a seasonal allergy. Our vet suggested a cytopoint injection  that quickly made him more comfortable. 2. He is very athletic so a six foot fence may be best.
