Introducing the lovely Miss Zara! While her name may sound mysterious, it’s no mystery that she’s a delightful young Lab. Social, friendly and energetic, she’s about three years old and tips the scale at about 75 pounds. Zara joins us from family who can no longer care for her
Zara is an energetic, athletic Lab who is playful, comfortable in her own fur and loves long games of fetch. She’s house trained, crate trained, fine with free roam of the home and knows sit, down, stay, place and has a good recall. Zara is friendly meeting new folks and is a quiet car companion. She walks well on leash.
While Zara is an ardent people lover, she is reactive to dogs who she finds “rude” according to our trainer. These are pushy dogs who get in her face and don’t take her cue to back off. Polite canine souls are welcome. To avoid misunderstandings, Zara should be the only dog in the home, and is not a candidate for dog parks or social activities with other dogs where perceived canine “rudeness” may occur. We don’t know how she feels about cats.
A people lover through and through, Zara faves include toys, lots of retrieving and any outdoor activity with her peeps: runs, long walks and hikes top the list. Treats are always welcome!.
The best home for Zara? It will be one where she can get lots of exercise and spend plenty of time outside with you. Someone who has time to continue her training would be just right.
So grab some treats and your hiking boots, and make a date to meet Miss Zara who’s ready to share all your Colorado adventures . . . and then enjoy a good nap!
NOTE: Zara is a very athletic Lab so a six foot fence is best in her new home.
