What better name for your new four-legged best friend than ‘Buddy’ . . . and lucky you, we have a Buddy waiting for you! He’s about 2.5 years old, and a perfect 62 pounds We think he may have some Golden Retriever in his family tree – he has a marvelous plume-y tail and some feathers. In search of adventure, Buddy found himself lost and unwanted in a crowded shelter. He was just so happy in spite of it all, we couldn’t resist scooping him up.
Buddy, who’s a “10” on the friendly scale and gets along well with other dogs, is just settling into his foster home. We’ll have a full report on this sweet guy very soon. We couldn’t resist sharing him early — and those who’ve met him already have plenty of wonderful things to say:
Our vet: “Buddy is a very engaging, energetic, strong, friendly, treat motivated, young guy who loves attention and to play.”
Our Volunteer: “ I picked up Buddy this morning. He’s a very nice friendly and happy guy who rode without a peep in the crate for the long ride back to Denver.
“He was very friendly and engaged with everyone he met. He was too excited to show off any commands, but was happy to take treats nicely, He does jump up for attention, but it’s not the slam-dunk kind, more like ‘I want to see you and have you love me’. He pulls some on leash and happily goes with anyone!”
Stay tuned as we learn more from his foster mom. But why wait? Buddy would love to meet you and tell you all about himself, and hear what you have to say about yourself, too!
PS From Buddy
Check me out on this video meeting a dog pal while wagging my magnificent tail. The shelter called me ‘Air Bud’, but everybody in my new life calls me ‘Buddy’. And BTW I’m neutered now!
