“Hey, I’m Cassie and how do you like my Flying Nun ears? Pretty darn cute, don’t you think? Add my with wagging tail and the twinkle in my eyes, and you’ll be able to find me in a snap at the dog park . . . I’m not just another pretty black pup, that’s for sure!” We whole heartedly agree with this happy young lady. She’s about two years old and a trim smaller girl at 54 pounds. Cassie was overlooked as just another ‘black dog’ in a crowded shelter. She was too cute and joyful for us to resist!
Miss Cassie is eager to introduce herself to her foster family and has already filled us in on some highlights of her sweet self. For starters, she’s happy to demo her sit, shake and down, and takes treats nicely. Leash manner are pretty good, she rides well in the car and if you happened to be eating fries, she hopes you’ll share some. She is a happy greeter and needs a reminder to keep-four-on the floor — she’s a smart cookie who wants to please. If she gets overstimulated, she may be a bit mouthy, so a family with older kids is best. Cassie gets along well with other dogs, we don’t know about cats.
Like all youngsters Cassie will thrive with an active family who will provide lots of exercise, continue her training and make this people-lover a big part of lives.
So grab some treats and make a date to meet Miss Cassie, a little sweetheart on four paws, just in time for Valentine’s Day – we bet you won’t be going home alone!
NOTE: The nimble Miss Cassie requires a six foot fence.
