If you’ve been wishing and hoping to find a big sweetheart who loves everyone, enjoys walks and a good nap, let us introduce Miss Nala! She’s seven years old and currently at 93 pounds is working to arrive at her goal of a trim 75 pounds. Our lovely lady was abandoned by her family at a crowed shelter.
Nala is house trained, uses a doggie door, enjoys resting in her crate and is fine with free roam of the home. She walks nicely on leash and is ready to demo her sit, down, wait and happily come when called. Nala has never met a stranger and cheerfully meets people and dogs with her tail wagging. We don’t know her feelings about cats. When we asked her about her faves, she was quick to woof, “Being with my peeps! Walks, chewing on bones and maybe a toss or two of the ball are fun too.”
Her foster mom adds:
“We love Nala’s affectionate ways. She wags her tail all the time, and is a cheerful soul who is trusting of people. Nala has such a lovely disposition, wants to please, follows us everywhere and lays at our feet while we work in our office.
“The perfect family for Nala? Someone who is home more than not and who will play with her . . . she adores people! She is not super active and sleeps a lot, but does enjoy moderate walks. Perhaps that might change once she loses 20 pounds! She is definitely interested in meeting other dogs so another dog of similar age and energy in the family may be okay. And most importantly, her new family must be committed to helping her reach her healthy goal weight!”
