You’ve heard of Ozzie Ozbourne, Ozzie and Harriet, and the Wizard of  Oz(zie), but the ultimate Ozzie is our ten year old Lab, Ozzie! This super handsome good natured boy is listed as black on his AKC papers, but in real life he sports a dark gray silvery coat. Ozzie, who is one overly plump gentleman at 103 pounds (needs to lose 10 – 15 pounds), was surrendered to a local shelter and in need of medical attention. Before joining us he received a dental to brighten up his smile. Ozzie was also blind with a painful eye condition that was addressed.

Ozzie has been blind for quite a while, but thankfully he feels much better now. “Hey, my sniffer and amazing intuition work just great, and I get around just fine! No trouble finding you for snuggles, my toys, and my dish at dinner time! I love being with my foster mom and hanging out with the assortment of my foster family dog pals.

A most delightful and friendly guy, Ozzie is house trained and crate trained although his is fine with free roam of the home when you’re way. He’s super friendly, loves attention and relishes pets from new friends when out and about. Greeting manner are quite nice. Other dogs count Ozzie as an easy going friend, but we don’t know about cats. He knows sit, down, to come when called, and he walks pretty well on leash. “I love my walks!” he wags. Overall Ozzie is friendly, affectionate, and comfortable in his own fur. He loves toys and tells us he absolutely must be placed with his favorite monkey. “We’re a bonded pair! No extra adoption fee for Mr. Monkey!” he wags.

A gentle, good natured  sweetheart of a Lab happy to have a second chance as a well-loved best friend, that’s our Ozzie!
