Introducing Miss Sadie, a petite chocolate sweetheart! Our little beauty originally found herself alone and feeling quite sad in a small filled-to-the-brim noisy shelter after her owner passed away. She’s about seven years old and a trim 51 pounds.
Sadie is a quiet, gentle Lab lady who thrives in the warm, steady companionship of the people she loves at home. Sadie is house trained and is okay crated for a brief period with a Kong or tasty bone to keep her occupied. Sadie’s leash manners are quite nice and she’s on top of her basic commands thanks to Board and Train work with our professional trainer.
While Sadie can be a little shy at first, she appreciates the welcoming kindness of the new people in her life. Sadie loves to retrieve and is a friend to other dogs; not sure how she feels about cats. We do know she finds thunder, lightning and fireworks are mighty scary!
Sadie will thrive in a quieter home where kind patient people are home more than away. Being left alone for long lonely hours is not her cup of tea. If you work from home, Sadie would love to meet you! We think she might enjoy a good natured canine companion her size to pal around with in her new home.
With a heartfelt sigh Sadie told us how much she is looking forward to a new chapter as a well-loved-member of a welcoming forever family.
Note: Sadie takes an over-the counter medication for a manageable skin condition that causes her nose to be pink and tender.
