Flint was just a wee chocolate morsel with big paws, big ears, and big dreams, when he arrived at his new home at 12 weeks old. His new life is full of firsts and fun and endless best days ever. And water! Water in rivers, lakes, puddles, hoses, and in and out of water bowls.  The best of the best, of course, is his new family which includes his parents, Aryn, and Buck, three two-legged siblings, and a big Lab brother who has been showing him the ropes. Young Flint is already a very well-loved pup who loves everyone in his world, with the possible exception of a few noisy winged creatures who happen by now and then.

Aryn and Buck sent us an update on the new kid:

Reese became a member of our family a couple of months ago and we have not looked back! His name was immediately changed because one of his human brothers is named Reese and there is only room for 1 Reese at our home.

So, Flint is his new name and he is already responding to commands with his name like “Flint sit” “Flint come” “Flint stay”. Flint has already been on his first camping trip where we learned that he LOVES water and will swim until the entire family is exhausted. When he isn’t near water camping, he digs in his water dish and loves to get water everywhere. He also really enjoys getting sprayed with the hose! Water is his jam.

He loves his older dog brother Drake, our 10 year old black Labrador, and has learned quite a bit from being with him every day. Drake is a good farm dog and is teaching Flint how to be a good farm dog too. They know to bark when a person walks up to the property. Flint has learned to leave the chickens alone and also that honking geese are just passing by. (Those were very concerning for Flint at first). Flint prefers to be outside but comes in after a long day and sleeps contentedly every night.

Flint also enjoys car rides and wants to come pick up his 2 human brothers and 1 human sister from school every day. He gets annoyed on days when he cannot come along because we have sports right after to get to. He likes to watch the world pass by as he looks out the window. Overall, the entire family has really grown to love Flint and his snuggles just hit the spot. We are so lucky to spend our days with him and all of us wake up in the morning anxious to see him. His face melts our hearts and he knows it!
