Seven-month-old Bowie bounded into Gary’s life with all the enthusiasm and joy an overgrown Lab pup can bring. Like many younger brothers, Bowie has taken it upon himself to make sure his new big dog sister stays on her toes and doesn’t waste too much time napping when her time would be better spent playing with him. With his days filled with good food, good company, family walks and mountain adventures, Bowie is pretty sure that life doesn’t get much better than this.
Gary shared an update on his new pup:
Bowie is doing great. Fitting in well. His sister, Annie, a 2018 SHLR adoptee, couldn’t believe initially why I would ruin her good life. But now I think she likes having him around, and they play fight and tussle, whenever he attacks her. He likes mountain life with trees, smells, and views to make his walks fun.
He’s hiked Blue Lake near Mt. Quandry and also up to Georgia Pass. He loves being outside and exploring. More adventures to come. We’re working on training goals, and he has been a good learner.
Many thanks to Pat for fostering Bowie!
