This lovely lady of a certain age (10ish, if you must know) is Rosie, the new four-legged queen of the land at Karen and Josh’s house. Rosie believes she is her new brothers’ keeper and has been known to bark orders at them at times, but she is quite a good sport overall. While it’s no secret that Rosie loves to lick the platter clean, her new parents have been helping her shed a few nonessential pounds and she’ll be out and about showing off her new, svelte figure this summer.

Karen and Josh tell us:

Since joining our family, Rosie (formerly Cream Puff) has truly blossomed. While she mostly tolerates her dog brothers, every now and then she surprises us by joining in for playtime —usually after barking at them to settle down if they get too rowdy. She likes to keep things in order! She is pure Lab through and through—she loves food (all food, any food!) and thrives on human attention. In the last few months, Rosie has discovered two new loves: cozy dog beds and the couch. She’s also just beginning to discover the joy of toys—happily nibbling on them and often picking one up to bring to the door to greet us. When Rosie first came to us, she had some extra pounds to lose. We’re so proud to share that she’s already down eight pounds and well on her way to a healthier weight. Even better, she now demands her daily walks and loves strolling around the yard. Watching her energy and confidence grow has been incredible.

We are so grateful to have Rosie as part of our family. She fills our home with personality, joy, and so much love.

Many thanks to Mary Ann for fostering Rosie/Cream Puff!
