When three-year-old Hank found himself in need of new home he was a bit unsure of how to navigate all the changes in his life. Luckily, he was adopted by fabulous parents, Linda and Brian, who understood that Hank needed a little extra time and a lot of extra love, and felt he might also benefit from outside training to help him re-learn some basics and begin to regain his confidence so he could relax and fully enjoy life with his new family.

Linda and Brian tell us:

When we first adopted Hank, he was very shy and skittish. He had to get used to a good many things around the house, such as the sound of the washing machine, the garbage disposal, Brian opening the door when he came home, and his canine brother Finley.

Finley was eager to embrace him as a new playmate, but after a while Hank wanted no part of Finley’s exuberant form of play. After they had a scuffle in the backyard, we realized we needed to consult a dog trainer so Hank could learn how to be more confident.

After enrolling him in a two-week board and train program with the same trainer that helped Finley be a better dog, Hank came home with knowledge of sit, stay, come, and walking well on a leash. With every week that goes by, he is showing us his true personality. He is a sweet, lovable dog who loves to be petted by us and play in the backyard with Finley. We are so glad to have him in our lives!

Many thanks to Greg for fostering Hank!
