Hello, Baxter here. You’re not going to believe what a lucky old chap I am! Just when it was time for me to settle into a lazy but luxurious retirement, along came Dena and Ron, who realized that a genial gent like me would be the icing on the cake, or perhaps the cherry on top, that would complete their fabulous family. So here I am, gracing them with my distinguished presence and polite company, as I soak up the sun and while away the hours writing the next, best chapter of my life story.
My new parents wanted to add a few words to make sure you realize what a great catch I am:
We adopted Baxter, a 12-year-old chocolate Labrador about two months ago. What a wonderful dog!
He was a bit anxious for the first several weeks but has settled in nicely. He is very lovable, well trained and a typical Labrador! Though long hikes are no longer an option, he loves the early morning walks….sniffing the world away!
