Buddy(1)Despite finding himself all alone with a very uncertain future at 10-years-old, this beautiful Buddy still had a lifetime of love left to give and just needed some help to get him back on his paws.  Luckily, through the kindness of others, Buddy was able to make his way to Safe Harbor where he settled in and began his search for a forever family.  Although he is as dashing and dear a Lab as you could ever hope to meet, Buddy was a little concerned that as a mature gentleman he might be passed over in favor of the younger pups.
He didn’t have to worry for long, however, because as soon as Sharon, Todd, and their son, Jacob, saw his sweet, handsome mug, they applied to adopt this special boy.  When Buddy saw their application he could barely contain his excitement, and he quickly woofed his approval and did the doggy dance of joy as he waited for a meet and greet.  A very happy Buddy was soon on his way home to begin the next, best chapter of his life with his fantastic new family.
Sharon and Todd sent us an update on their new boy:  We were blessed to have Buddy join our family on October 4, 2016.  He is 10 years old and was no longer wanted by the people he had loved and trusted.  He had some separation anxiety when we first got him, but has learned to trust that we aren’t giving up on him and this is his forever home.  He joined Midas (a yellow lab we also rescued from Safe Harbor a few years ago), as well as Cheeto, our kitty. Midas and Buddy romp and play together all the time, and they enjoy daily walks together.
Our thanks to Sharon and Todd for seeing the beauty in this boy and finding a special place in your family for a wonderful senior Lab, and giving him the happily ever after that all dogs deserve.
