One-year-old Calvin arrived at his foster home with Rich and Melody, unpacked his bags and took a good look around. He sized up his foster brother, George (big, he deduced!) and then tried out the dog beds, sampled some home cooking, sniffed around the neighborhood, and quickly decided that he would prefer not to leave anytime soon. Now all that was left to do was convince his foster parents that he was already home… and the rest is history. Calvin is quite pleased with himself and considers his adoption to be the greatest success ever (as well a sign of his true genius and endless charm) and cannot understand why anyone would refer to this as a foster failure.

Rich and Melody tell us:

Calvin is a important part of our family now. He is George’s little brother and wants to do everything that George does. Calvin is just under 50 pounds and George is about 91.  He is a good cuddler both with George and Rich and Melody. Calvin just assumes he is welcome. He is not wrong.

We are so glad Calvin is part of our family.

Thank you to Melody, Rich, and George for fostering Calvin/Malcolm and congratulations to one and all!
