Cooper was our fourth SHLR dog and the one we loved the longest. We typically adopt senior labs to give them the best golden years possible. But, Coop was an exception. He had us at “Hello” and never let us go.
We were honored to spend eight beautiful years with our Cooper and will cherish every memory. He was a true angel in the form of a goofy, happy, loving yellow dog.
Cooper and his sister, Sandwich (adopted from a local shelter at around the same time because Mom also has a “type”) went everywhere with us and adored each other. Their favorite place was the car because it means adventure!
For many years, Cooper enjoyed running up Buttermilk Mountain multiple times a week while Dad busted his butt skinning to top and then would bark incessantly until Dad was ready to ski down.
His best and most appreciated party trick was to bring his dinner bowl to you in his mouth. “Time for Dinner!”
He could not have been happier when Mom started working from home – life had never been better! Naps followed by walks followed by naps followed by belly rubs.
Cooper’s departure from this earth was completely unexpected but we are so grateful he was able to hike his favorite trail in Moab just days before he died around the age of 11.
You will forever hold pieces of our hearts, Cooper and we are so grateful for our lives with you in it.
