Matthew and Corbin are the proud new parents of the dashing Mr. Dante, who has been impressing them with his delightful demeanor, polished social skills, exemplary zoomies, nose for knowledge, endless talents, and extreme cuddleability.
Dante’s new dads sent us an update on their clever young pup:
When he arrived at about 4 months of age with a thin coarse coat, scraggly barely-there whiskers, and playful street-dog energy, he instantly reminded us of Miguel’s spirit guide from the movie Coco, inspiring his new name, Dante. We’re happy to report his coat is now full, beautiful, and shiny, and he has put on a healthy 25 pounds!
Dante has been an absolute joy and has brought new life to our home. His playful lab spirit has been such a blessing. He loves lounging in his spacious back yard, going for long daily walks in the nearby park, and playing fetch, tug of war, and more. But nothing compares to late evenings when the zoomies wear off and he turns into a floppy melty cuddle pup. He’s also shown us some serious smarts, tackling potty and house training like a champ, earning full reign of the house in only 2 months! His ever-growing vocabulary of tricks includes sit, stay, come, shake, lay down, and he’s obsessed with play dates with his new furry besties, our friends’ dogs. We’re so grateful he found his way into our lives and can’t wait for him to be off-leash ready for the dog park!
