“Chickens and ducks and sheep, oh my!” exclaimed Hercules when he first caught sight of some of the other residents in and around his new home.  Being an active, fun-loving fellow, Hercules soon discovered that there’s nothing better than the country life, especially when he gets to share it with his new parents, Cecily and Robert, and his new two-legged brothers. This five-year-old chocolate charmer is open to making new friends of all shapes and sizes, including any wooly, feathered, or furry guys and gals.  When asked if he would like to comment for this story, Hercules replied, “Farm livin’ is the life for me….”

Hercules’ parents told us that they couldn’t be happier with their new pup and shared his latest antics:

Hercules has settled into his new forever home and immediately bonded with his two young humans, Hawk and Kodiak. He has become a constant companion to both of them– walking with them to the bus stop in the morning and greeting them enthusiastically when they come home from school. Hercules helps lift their mood when they are having a rough day.  He is a wonderful, huggable, addition to the family!

Hercules enjoys running around with the sheep and ducks and chickens and playing in any body of water.  He especially loves watering the garden because it means he can chase and attack the hose.  Unfortunately he has also taken to rolling in any kind of smelly stuff he can find in the pastures, so he gets lots of baths!

Many thanks to Stephanie O. for fostering Hercules!
