Six-year-old Kobe doesn’t know how stunning he looks bounding through the fresh snow with his spectacular fox red coat standing out beautifully against the bright white landscape. But he does know that he’s truly in his element running and playing in the great outdoors and that he loves everything about the active mountain lifestyle he shares with his new parents, Damon and Joy. Did someone say skijoring?
Kobe’s new family sent us an update:
Kobe is a great dog! He has really taken to mountain living. He’s learning how to be off-leash and loves skiing.
Kobe is a true sight/scent hound, more so than any other lab we’ve had, which makes it a challenge in the woods. He’s very watchful and has graduated from hunting ground squirrels to big game. Deer especially fascinate him.
After a fun day of hiking, Kobe’s favorite relaxation pose is a spinal twist. Funny little guy: he’s very limber, like a noodle. He’s athletic and super-strong, can run a long way, but always returns to our side, We have also just discovered that he is a pretty good skijoring partner, so we have been training him in that. He is all about having fun!
Also, Kobe looks fabulous in blue. Thanks Safe Harbor, we just love him.
Many thanks to Marlene and Bill for fostering Kobe!
