Three-year-old Kodah arrived at Donna and David’s house with lots of wags and wiggles, and a heart full of hope that he had finally found the home where he would belong forever.  This sweet youngster, who has boundless energy and plenty of love to spare, quickly charmed his new parents and big sister, Sadie, as he snuggled his way into his own special Kodah-sized place in the family.

Kodah’s new parents sent us and update on their adorable boy:

Since arriving in our home, Kodah (previously Auggie) has taken over … in the best way!  Kodah loves to fetch his squeaky little football, go on walks and runs, and explore low-sitting objects around the house. Oh, and did we mention he loves to fetch his squeaky little football? You’ve made a friend for life if you throw his football. Kodah, which means ‘friend and companion’ in the Dakota/Sioux language, has rejuvenated his older sister Sadie, who now enjoys chasing after toys again, although she never gets to them, thanks to Kodah’s speed!  Even though he is a bundle of activity, Kodah is so loving and also enjoys his down time, snuggling on the couch and bed with us.

Kodah has brought sweet energy and joy to our home, following the recent passing of our former SHLR senior lab, Bentley.

Many thanks to Winifred for fostering Kodah/Auggie!
