It turns out that Chris and Adam’s new pup is a little bit of this and a bit more of that, with a nice-sized dollop of Labrador mixed in with other fabulous breeds to create the cleverest and loveliest of Ladybugs! Despite her impressive heritage, Ladybug remains humble and has her paws planted firmly on the ground (now and then.) Just four months old when she arrived at her new home, Ladybug has been concentrating on growing, playing, learning and snuggling as she hones her big dog skills along the way.
We received an update from Ladybug’s new family:
Ladybug is the BEST.DOG.EVER! Getting her DNA test explained a lot: 40% Australian Shepherd, 22% Vizsla, 21% Labrador, 8% Miniature American Shepherd and 6% German Shorthaired Pointer… She has the intelligence, work ethic, and persistence of the Aussie breed, the athleticism of the Viszla, and the unmistakable loyalty and lovability of a Lab. “Bug” is the happiest dog we’ve ever had… She’s never met another dog (or person) that she didn’t immediately love. She is a wild child playing with other dogs but has quickly adopted a gentler play style with Sugarplum, our other dog, who is blind. Bug loves to run, run, run which she does daily and has already learned to swim despite cold water temps in our neighborhood lake. She frequently accompanies Adam to work at Sodapup where we make….dog toys! Bug has become both a product tester and model for photo shoots. Despite all of her energy, she is also an expert snuggler and prolific kisser! She brightens every day and we are so grateful to have her in our life!
Many thanks to Penny and to Ronni for fostering Ladybug!
