Anyone who thinks all lemons are sour has never met the sweet little Lemon who found her forever home with Abby and Allen. This lovely one-year-old Lab lass is now the very proud owner of fabulous new parents, two terrific teenagers, and, of course, the best big Lab brother a girl could hope for — the famous Mr. Red!
Lemon’s new parents sent us an update on their girl:
Our Lady Lemon Loaf—aka Lemon or Lemmie—has been such a sweet addition to our family. She is still very much a puppy and has only two speeds: playtime and nap. She hasn’t quite found a happy medium yet!
She and Red (aka Rocco, another SHLR alum) bonded immediately—where you find one, you’ll always find the other. Like her furry brother, Lemon has absolutely no concept of personal space, whether with Red or with her humans, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
She loves lying in the sun and will happily spend hours out on the deck. She is also quite an aggressive chewer and has amassed a wide selection of toys and bones. She always has one nearby in the event the need to chew hits her. Thankfully, she limits her chewing to her toys—and Red!
One of our favorite things about her is her wild sleeping positions. She regularly falls asleep flat on her back with her legs up in the air, or twisted in ways that don’t seem physically possible! It’s always entertaining to see how she’s fallen asleep.
Lemmie is such a good girl, and we are so thankful for her and for SHLR.
